Eastern, Grant Campuses Offer “Puss In Boots”

On Feb. 10, the Eastern Campus in Riverhead will be hosting the first Friday Family Fun Flicks of the semester. Students who attend the Brentwood, Ammerman, and Eastern campuses are all welcome to join Campus Activities and Early Childhood to watch the new children’s movie, “Puss In Boots.”

The event is free to all students with ID and is a great event to catch the hilarious family flick which is no longer in theaters. The movie can be caught at 7 pm, on Friday, Feb. 10 in the Shinnecock Building, room 101. Any questions can be answered at the Eastern Campus Activities office in the Peconic Building, room 119 or by telephone, (631) 548-2522.

On Feb. 17, the movie will be hosted at the Grant Campus in Brentwood. Admission will be free for all students and children, but at least one can of food is recommended for the schools food pantry upon entry. Students are welcomed to bring their children and younger siblings. All children are required to be accompanied by an adult.

“Puss In Boots” will be available to students at 7:30 pm at the Sagtikos Van Nostrand Theatre. No food or beverages are permitted in the theater. Any questions can be answered at the campus activities office, (631) 851-6702.

The film, originally released during Oct. 2011, stars award winning actors including Antonio Banderas, Salma Hayak, and Zach Galifianakis from “The Hangover.” It follows the life of the furry fugitive, Puss, and his fairy-tale fable friends, before he meets Shrek and Donkey in a comical prequel to the hilarious trilogy known as Shrek.
